Effortlessly Democratic Santa Fé Trail
The Santa Fé Trail,
Broad and long,
Went through Kansas,
Four hundred miles.
To whom did the Santa Fé Trail belong?
It belonged to those who used it,
And it treated all alike.
It was just as broad and long for the little dog trotting beside the wagon, as for the man who drove the wagon, and for the man who owned the whole wagon train.
It was just as broad and long for all of them;
And sunflowers grew up on both sides of it:
Blessing it.
