The Hellenic Landscape Was Glad
Let us be impassioned, said Clytemnestra to Medusa.
The hills of Greece are waiting for us.
Has it not been wrong to be so involved with murders and turning people into stone,
When an Hellenic landscape is there for our thought?
Medusa bowed her head and replied:
Yes, we have not been thinking of the greatest things.
We have been narrow.
When Medusa bowed her head,
The Hellenic landscape, part of it stone already,
Was glad.
